1—Acupressure and Self-Care Hosted by Renown Health-- Join Howard Chen, MD, for an interactive demonstration on the principals of acupressure and simple ways to apply them to your day. Acupressure is a therapy that applies pressure to points on your body to promote relaxation and wellness. By stimulating these points, you can help restore balance to different channels in your body, which in turn will address symptoms and other issues. Acupressure can help with many kinds of pain, as well a slowing down the heart rate and improving blood pressure.
2—Personalized Meditation Workshop Hosted by Saint Mary’s Health Network—Meditation has been associated with improved sleep, stress reduction, improved memory and pain reduction. Join Eren Sanborn of Saint Mary’s Health Network to learn techniques to be fully present in the moment, to think with purpose and to deal with daily stress. We will explore various forms of meditation to find a form of meditation that works for you and your lifestyle.
3—Mind Meet Body—Join Christina Ghiggeri of Soul Space Fitness to discover the how and why of connecting your mental side to your physical side. A workout should be more for you than just a sweat session, your mind should benefit from it as well. In this group we will be practicing some light exercises and discovering how we feel while performing them. Connecting our body and soul as one.
