2017 Reno Go Red For Women Luncheon

Friday, February 3, 2017 10:00am-1:30pm

Dear Friend of Heart,

I am delighted to chair the 2017 Go Red For Women Luncheon in Reno. Heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s approximately one woman every minute! Having worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years, I am passionate about changing the prevalence of this devastating disease. More women need to know their risk factors and make their health a priority. As influencers at home and work, the Go Red movement is positively impacting the health of Northern Nevada. Go Red engages women — and the men who love them — to embrace the cause and I am proud to be a part of it.

I am very pleased to invite you to participate in the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign designed to raise awareness about women and heart disease. In addition to helping our community improve their heart health, the funds we raise support vital research and community awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke. There are many ways to engage your company and impact our community.

The 13th annual luncheon will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 (National Wear Red Day) at the Reno Ballroom. The event brings in over 700 guests and is one of the most exciting events of the year. Please contact Allison Edwards, the director of the luncheon to set up a time to discuss getting involved as a sponsor or supporter of the event: 775-322-7065 or allison.edwards@heart.org. I also highly encourage you to engage your workplace, friends, family and other groups you may be involved with in Go Red. We would be happy to work with you on inspiring healthy living!

With heartfelt gratitude,
