As the number 1 killer of Americans, it’s a sad fact that no one can escape being touched by heart disease or stroke in some way. In fact, over 5,000 Nevadans die from cardiovascular disease and stroke each year. I encourage you to get involved with the American Heart Association and learn more about their Health Initiative efforts.
I’m proud to Chair the 32nd Annual Northern Nevada Heart & Stroke Ball which will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019. In addition to raising vital funds for heart disease, stroke research and education, the Heart & Stroke Ball engages companies and the community at large in northern Nevada to promote healthy lifestyles where we work, live, and play.
This year we are privileged to recognize Tom Dolan as the 2019 Heart of Gold Honoree. Tom embodies the spirit of community giving and the American Heart Association is near and dear to his heart.
